Wondering how to set up your new smartphone? Having problems accessing a tool in FMLS? Just can’t seem to get that email sent to a client? The Information Technology (IT) Help Desk is Metro BrokersSM own “Geek Squad” that is there to assist sales associates with any of their real estate technology questions.

There are four dedicated members of the IT Help Desk team available to help associates with a variety of tech-related issues. Sales associates can receive support for Metro Brokers technology such as metrobrokers.com, agent websites, customer relationship manager (CRM), MetroNet, Outlook Web Access email, Internet reports such as listing hits, the new flyer templates and other items. The IT Help Desk also supports FMLS, GAMLS, eNeighborhoods and a large assortment of additional real estate applications.

One of the IT Help Desk’s most popular support topics is “how to set up email on a smartphone.” The IT Help Desk is equipped to aid in the set up of any smartphone, whether it’s a Palm or Windows Mobile unit. Sales associates can call for step-by-step instructions and have their smartphone receiving Metro Brokers email in minutes.

In addition, the IT Help Desk can also log into any office or home computer via the GoToMeeting functionality. This technology allows the IT Help Desk to virtually assist and view issues on any computer with the user’s permission.

Although the IT Help Desk is able to assist sales associates with a variety of problems and issues, they cannot service all technical concerns. The IT Help Desk is unable to “fix” or “repair” unsupported software or computer hardware in general, but will gladly recommend sales associates to a location where the problem can be corrected.

The IT Help Desk is available Mon. through Fri. from 8am to 6pm, and can be reached by email, or by phone through the call center and by online chat through the “Live Tech Help” option on MetroNet.
