DUNWOODY

The City of Dunwoody, Georgia, one of the most desireable areas of Atlanta in which to live, is located to the north of Atlanta, just outside 285, the ring road around Atlanta. Dunwoody is minutes away from Perimeter Mall, a premier shopping area, and is within easy reach of two MARTA stations (the public transportation system).
 Dunwoody also has its own "Village" shopping area which houses the Post Office, service stations, grocery stores, Ace hardware store and numerous small businesses and restaurants. The library, part of the DeKalb County Library system is located near the Village, as is the Dunwoody Nature Center.

There are other shopping centers in Dunwoody as well, as it covers a wide geographic area and is in fact located in two different counties - DeKalb County and Fulton County. Real Estate taxes are paid to the county in which your property is located. There are no city taxes. There is a very active Dunwoody Homeowner's Association, a Newcomer's Group, Chamber of Commerce and various other groups and clubs.

Dunwoody schools have an excellent reputation. Georgia Perimeter College-Dunwoody Campus, Sydney Marcus Jewish Center and churches of all denominations are located in Dunwoody.
